Tony Award-Winning Musical The Book of Mormon Returns to Santa Barbara’s Granada Theatre
Santa Barbara, CA – Feb. 2, 2026 – Back by popular demand, the Tony Award-winning musical The Book of Mormon is coming to the Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara for a strictly limited two-night engagement, February 24–25, 2026. Presented by The American Theatre Guild as part of the 25–26 Broadway in Santa Barbara Series, this national tour brings one of Broadway’s biggest hits to the Central Coast.
Winner of nine Tony Awards—including Best Musical—The Book of Mormon has captivated audiences around the world with its irreverent humor, unforgettable songs, and heartwarming story. The musical also earned the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, alongside critical acclaim from the New York Times, which called it “the best musical of this century… Heaven on Broadway!”

The Book of Mormon features book, music, and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, and Matt Stone. The Broadway production is directed by Parker and two-time Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, who also choreographed the show. The touring production is directed and choreographed by Jennifer Werner, following the original Broadway vision.

Since its Broadway debut on March 24, 2011, The Book of Mormon has become one of the most successful shows in Broadway history, breaking house records at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre more than 50 times. The West End production opened in 2013, earning four Olivier Awards and setting sales records. The musical has been performed on three continents, receiving over 30 international awards, and continues to break box office records worldwide.
The Original Broadway Cast Recording, winner of the 2011 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, is available on Ghostlight Records.
